Landlords with LHA tenants

LHA Tenants to let

Are you a landlord that lets to local housing allowance tenants and feel you are paying too much on your insurance?

When insuring let properties with DSS or LHA tenants whether it be standard let or HMO let, many providers look to double or increase dramatically the premiums they would offer for professional tenants, and many do not provide cover for this tenant type at all.

At Goldcrest we have several providers who offer extremely competitive premiums for properties let to LHA / DSS tenants, so if you feel you are paying over the odds on your policies be sure to contact us for a quotation.

What are LHA Tenants? How do they differ from DSS?

LHA is an abbreviation of the term Local Housing Allowance (Housing Benefit) other terms in common usage is DSS (the old Department of Social Security) and tenants in receipt of benefits. Pulling away from the metaphorical microscope, both LHA and DSS are the same thing, and for insurance purposes whether you have LHA tenant it would still fall under “DSS”.

So if you’re looking for insurance for your property that house LHA tenants look no further, we have several agencies willing to provide quotations.
